The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Michigan. Small businesses continue to request support services in record numbers. Trends that our consultants are seeing include increased demand for start up and transition services, new needs arising in supply chain management, rising inflation and the pending threat of a recession. Now more than ever, small businesses are seeking help.

What did the Michigan SBDC learn from a global pandemic?

  • Small businesses needed help more than ever
  • Underserved populations were disproportionately affected
  • Digital consulting has become an expectation

To aid small businesses through the next phase of recovery, the Michigan SBDC has developed a program called Michigan PROSPER. This program will address our learnings and expand a DEI strategy, meet increasing client demand and innovate with solutions to expand a digital strategy.
