What should you do right now?

  1. Assess the Damage: Carefully document all damage to your property, equipment, and inventory. Take photos and videos for insurance purposes and potential disaster relief applications.
  2. Contact Your Insurance Provider: Reach out to your insurance company immediately to understand your coverage for property damage, business interruption, and other potential losses.
  3. Keep Records: Maintain detailed records of all expenses related to the storm, including repairs, temporary solutions, and lost revenue. This information will be important for insurance claims and potential aid applications.
  4. Gather Your Current Financials: Gather and keep track of your current profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and recent tax returns (both business and personal) for potential loan requests and grant funding.
  5. Communicate with Your Customers and Suppliers: Let them know your current operating status and any potential delays. Clear communication can help maintain relationships during this challenging time.
