Established in 1922, Baryames Tuxedo & Suit has been a cornerstone in the Lansing community, offering top-notch rentals and sales of fine formalwear for special occasions. Recognized as the premier destination for acquiring and renting exquisite formalwear, the store gained a stellar reputation for its excellent services.

Brendon Ryan played a crucial role in this legacy, dedicating over a decade of service to Baryames Tuxedo & Suit, including five years as the manager. When the current owner decided to retire, Brendon recognized a golden opportunity to take the reins of this esteemed establishment.

In pursuit of his dream, Brendon was referred by Huntington Bank to the Michigan SBDC Capital Region, hosted by Lansing Community College. Senior Business Consultant Darryl Horton became instrumental in Brendon’s journey. Together, they developed a comprehensive business plan, determined a fair business valuation, and calculated meticulous financial projections.

“With Darryl’s support and guidance I was able to successfully secure financing for the purchase of Baryames Tuxedo & Suit. I am proud to carry forward the legacy of excellence in fine formalwear services in Lansing,” said Brendon.

“It was a pleasure working with Brendon to help him achieve his dream of small business ownership. His dedication and perseverance were instrumental in the success of this transition,” said Darryl.

Baryames Tuxedo & Suit embarks on a new chapter with Brendon at the helm, promising to deliver the same high-quality formalwear experience for years to come.
