Why host the Northwest Regional Office?

Becoming part of the Michigan SBDC Network leads to new partnership opportunities within the small business ecosystem. Here is what our current hosts at Mid Michigan College, Lansing Community College, and Saginaw Valley State University had to say:

“We are the community’s college, and as such, we are proud to host the Michigan SBDC at Mid Michigan College. Their role in helping current and future small businesses grow and prosper not only benefits our local and regional economies, but provides an important mechanism for the college to gather thoughts and opinions of community members.”Tim Hood, President, Mid Michigan College (Mid-Michigan Region Host)

"The Michigan SBDC is a tremendous value add to Lansing Community College. It contributes to our regional economic impact, introduces LCC to numerous and diverse stakeholders and builds a bridge to students we might never have had. We consider it a privilege to host the SBDC!"Baldomero "Bo" Garcia MBA, MPA Dean, Community Education & Workforce Development Lansing Community College (Capital Region Host)

"The SBDC is a catalyst to economic development in the Lake Huron region. It is a great resource for small businesses right here at the Scott L. Carmona College of Business and SVSU. In addition, their engagement with both high school students and SVSU students gives the next generation of entrepreneurs a head start. The reach of SBDC, from the Great Lake Bay Region to the Mackinaw Bridge, ensures the impact of SVSU is visible in key markets we target."Jayati Ghosh, Ph.D. Dean, Scott L. Carmona College of Business, Saginaw Valley State University (Lake Huron Region Host)
